Vera Vilhjálmsdóttir, researcher at the Icelandic Tourism Research Centre (RMF), presented the latest outputs of the UPLIFT project at the international symposium 'Unlocking the Power of Rural CCIs: The Intersection of Culture, Creativity and Entrepreneurship', held by the Research Centre for Creative Industries (RSG) on May 30th in Reykjavík, Iceland.

The two new resources cover the opportunities and challenges in regards to using immersive technologies in literary and film tourism. The two new resources are:

1. A research report that examines how augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI) are changing how we approach tourism related to literature and films. The report maps out the main developments, opportunities, and challenges in the tourism and education sectors in this regard. The report is already available on the UPLIFT website!

2. A compilation of good practices is a rich collection of real-world examples from across Europe showing how digital technology is already being used to enhance the visitor experience. From libraries to international film festivals, the compilation offers a variety of ideas for interesting and interactive events. The compilation will be published on the project's website at the end of this month.

We encourage everyone to learn more about the project and its outputs on the UPLIFT website: https://uplifttourism.eu/
